Faceplates used to mean taking the phone apart to customize it.  Currently most manufacturers consider the warranty void when the housing is changed.  As a result, snap on covers and adhesive covers have become more and more popular. 

Phones such as the Motorola RAZR have a number of options available including snap on covers in Pink, Clear, Dark Blue, and Purple.  Body Glove has also released adhesive based skins that can be customized with and inkjet printer.  The RAZR as well as all other phones can be customized using packs of adhesive gems like those found here.   

It is important when considering changing a phones housing to find out if the warranty will be void.  If so, a cheap accessory can result in a major expense if the phone breaks and cannot be fixed under warranty.

The latest option is "Skins" that can be custom printed and stick to the phone or other device.  There are a number of good companies offering these skins.  Click on the links below for some of our favorites.
